Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all the mother’s out there.
Thank you to all the mothers out there who love and serve their families.
I had the fortunate opportunity to go back home and celebrate Mother’s Day with my family. We got some good food and walked around a garden that my Mom really wanted to go to. I snuck out on Sunday morning to get my Mom and Grandma flowers. They’ve complained about spending money on things that die as fast as store bought flowers, but they seemed happy when I brought them flowers 🙂
I’ve slowly started humanizing my Mom over the last couple of years. As a kid, I thought my Mom was a superhero (and she still is to a certain degree). She always came to the rescue when I had troubles at school. She stopped fights and troubles that happened around the house.
Now as she gets older, I start to see her physical and mental fragilities. As each year goes by, I start to slowly understand why she did what she did to raise me to who I am today.
While we still have our moments of disagreement and bickering, I’ll always be thankful for what she’s done for me. Here’s a little something I want to say to my Mom:
Thank you Mom for everything that you did and have done for the family.
Things have been really tough lately for our family and I thank you for not giving up on us.
I admit that I am struggling with my own life problems, but when I look at what you’ve done, I am encouraged to not give up. Thank you for being patient with me. I can’t even imagine what you had to deal with when I was a kid.
Thank you for always feeding me delicious foods when I come back home and also packing me delicious foods when I leave.
You are the closest example I can think of who God is – somebody who is incredibly patient with me and continues to love me despite my insufficiencies.
Thank you Mom and Happy Belated Mother’s Day.
